Walking out the blues...

It's fall...My least favorite season of the year. Even the happy bunnies in my head which usually look something like this:

Look something like this:

Due to some stuff that God and I are working through in my own soul, I felt the need to ditch doing family stuff for Thanksgiving this year. I didn't know what I would do. But the thought of putting on a happy clappy family face for Thanksgiving wore me out so I resolved to find something else to do whether it was hole up somewhere with a book and burrito or go away for the day. Then my friend invited me along to a 6 mile walk on T-day. I don't like to be outside in the cold. But it seemed like it would be warmer amongst friends than by myself.

So I registered.

YOu guys will have a blast! The Turkey Day Walk is so much fun. My sister and I usually do this walk, however we are having Thanks-
giving at our house this year and I didn't think I would have the time. ENJOY!!!! And Helen, you'll warm up oce you get moving. I'm not big on the cold either but I never feel cold for long.

OK...Glad that I will be warm after a while. I am going to invest in some warm gear. Stuff that walkers and runners wear in the winter. As long as my ears, head and upper body are warm I think I'll be OK...

Get one of those things you wear over your ears-not ear muffs-they hurt after awhile. I know it has a name, just can't hink of it. It's kind of like a head band. Oh, I'll just bring you mine to borrow. And a scarf, and gloves. Wear layers so if you get warm you can take something off.

Thanks, Kelly! You so nice! I am going to go to Sears today and find me some warm winter running clothes. I guess like that shiny spandex stuff they wear and maybe a parka! LOL!
